This design was focused on the elements the clients wanted within their yard. Starting from the left side of the house the client needed boat parking and a storage area. Walking across the main area I extended the hardscape to create amble room for the large parties they frequently have. Around the perimeter of the yard we installed a low concrete block wall with columns every 12 feet to tie in with the rest of the finish materials. A grove of fruit trees is planted along the back bank with railroad steps for access.
Using raised area’s to add visual interest we put two steps up to a private area for the built-in barbecue. Leading your way up to another raised area is a focal point two-tiered water feature and secondary entertaining area that gives big groups alternative places to enjoy the space. By adding in plant material along the low wall and integrating that as a banding around the barbecue area it softens and gives a touch of color. This home faces west by adding in the allumawood pergola’s and plant material it provides alternative areas to stay cool in the shade. Walking around to the other side of the yard is a raised three hole putting green with a step up for easy access.
The front of the putting green has a 20” tee off area that is a great way to turn into a professional golfer in your own backyard. We installed wood fencing for the private areas seen from the street and maintained the existing wrought iron fencing to save costs. Throughout the yard there is a sense of structure. The design outcome was clean, symmetrical, innovative, and came together beautifully at the end result. The clients are very pleased with there experience with us and the contractor to get the job done from start to finish with the client in mind.
